About the Property
Imagine staying in a cabin above the original City of Bagnell’s Jail! The lower level of this property housed the jail cells, and the top floor was originally a two-room cabin for the jailer. At some point in the 1950's, the top and bottom floors were expanded to create the cabin as it is today. The cell bars are no longer in place; however, there are bars on the interior windows of the main floor jailhouse. Our families purchased the Jailhouse Cabin in 2025 and have worked to both restore and preserve its integrity. We hope you feel some 1950's era nostalgia during your stay in this vintage River Cabin.
Reservation Information
The Bagnell Jailhouse is priced for a two-person occupancy. Additional guests are $15 per person per night, with a maximum of 6 guests. Sleep arrangements: Two Queen beds and a full-sized futon. The jailhouse is a no pet and no smoking accommodation. Must be 24 to reserve and person making reservation must occupy. ID must be presented at check-in. Check-in time is 3 p.m. and check-out time is 11 a.m. Reservations have a three-night minimum stay. We provide check in services Wednesdays through Saturdays.

Location of the Cabin
Bagnell Missouri is located just minutes from the Historic Bagnell Dam Strip. We are located along the Osage River, roughly 4.5 miles below the dam. We are convenient to all of the local tourist destinations!

Rustic Family or Fishing cabins provide an option for those who do not have an Rv and still want to experience campground life!
5 Rustic Cabins available. There are stairs to four of the cabins, and none are wheelchair accessible.
